Our Story

Founded in 2004 by Gene Martini and Jeff Edelman, Infinity has grown to a major operating lessor of railcars serving customers in the United States, Canada and Mexico. Our investment philosophy follows a strong adherence to prudent asset selection, rigorous due diligence and inspection and opportunistic market timing and expansion. Our overarching goal is to provide sound equipment, tailored lease terms and superior service for the North American rail shipping community. Our alliance with Global Atlantic Financial Group has enabled our growth, fleet diversity and markets served.

As President and CEO, Jeff oversees Infinity’s strategic development, origination, relationship management, and all other operational aspects. He has more than 25 years of experience in the transportation equipment leasing industry, including accounting, marketing, operations, portfolio acquisitions, dispositions, and debt facilities. Previously, Jeff served as Senior Vice President and Chief Financial Officer of Railcar, Ltd. and was President of Perella Weinberg’s Infinity Rail group.

As CFO, Jon oversees the company's financial landscape, including accounting, balance sheet management, and financial planning. Prior to his role as CFO, Jon served as VP of Portfolio Management, contributing strategic, financial, and tactical support to railcar acquisitions and leasing agreements. Prior to Infinity, Jon served as a Senior Client Account Manager at Brown Brothers Harriman, where he managed daily fund performance for European/East Asian clients and analyzed market trends.

As AVP of Logistics, Rob is responsible for Infinity Transportation’s day-to-day railcar movement, customer deliveries and returns, shop and cleaning programs, and problem resolution. Rob has more than 13 years of rail operations experience. He started his career as a Terminal Trainmaster at CSX, and most recently served as Director of Train Operations for the CSX Atlanta Division.

Jeff brings a wealth of expertise and dedication to ensuring our railcar fleet's smooth operation and maintenance.

John Fish

Manager, Mechanical Operations

John, as Manager of Mechanical Operations, is responsible for handling the mechanical management of Infinity’s rail assets. He brings nearly 15 years of experience in all aspects of the railcar mechanical field, with extensive knowledge of railcar shops and as a railcar shipper. Previous companies include KBX Rail, Compass Minerals and American Railcar Services.
